A Night On The Town....

Going out on a night out is something that a lot of people do, I don't really do it a lot but after a stressful few months I decided to go for it. Also a friend of mine turned 21 and we decided to go out and celebrate. Which saw a group of us going off to Newcastle for a night on the town. (Which in case you've never been in a good night out that you should try sometime)

So we all threw some stuff in a bag and off we went, it was only an hour's drive on the way we saw the Angel of the North which in case you don't know is a contemporary sculpture designed by artist Antony Gormley.

The night saw some amazing food from TGI Fridays

And a lot of different cocktails, the best one was a Skittles cocktail that I can't find a good picture of but it was amazing, so here's a picture of a Strawberry margarita that I had.

The outfit that I wore was a floral print body con dress which I absolutely loved, it had half sleeves which meant that it kept you a bit warmer and it finished just above the knee. The fit on the dress was amazing and it was so soft, I find it difficult sometimes to find a dress that I really like and feel completely comfortable in but this one I loved from the minute I saw it. The floral pattern of it makes it more spring/summer season kind of wear which is good as we are in Spring (although you wouldn't think it with the weather) I picked up this dress from New Look (http://www.newlook.com)

After an amazing night out we headed back to the Premier inn that we were staying in and had the best few hour's sleep I ever (and yes I I'd do the whole run and starfish on the bed as soon as I walked in)

Ended the night with a couple of Snapchats that just in case you want to follow is hayleyt1315. I'd love to hear some of your adventures.

Spring Look

Spring is here and that means things are finally starting to brighten up, I went on a little
shopping spree and of course had to make a trip to Boots. I used some of the products that I bought to create this simple natural looking spring tutorial.

Products used:

1. Foundation- Bourjois Paris Air Mat Foundation, I bought this in the shade Rose Ivory as it gives more of a natural glow, although it's a matte finish when wearing it you it doesn't feel like it.

2. Concealer- L'Oréal Paris True Match LA Touche Magique, this works wonders for brightening up your eyes, I have really dark eyes which are a nightmare to cover but this works really well to make me look more awake.

3. Bronzer- Avon Cosmetics Bronzing Pearls I didn't really want to go over the top with contour for this look I just wanted a natural glow.

4. Mascara- COVERGIRL Lash Blast Mega Volume Mascara I went for this mascara as it makes my lashes long incredibly long which makes my eyes seem more awake.

5. Lipstick- Max Factor in the shade Stardust Pink which is a really neutral lip which I think works well with this look.

My Commuting Essentials

For those who don't know I am a student at university, but rather then living there I commute. There are various reasons that I choose to commute, the main one being that it was just so much cheaper than the concept of living in student halls and it was close enough for me to commute there. Also my course is split so a lot of my time is spent out on placement in various areas, so it just didn't seem right to live at the uni.

Whenever I travel, but mainly on my commutes, there are a number of different things that I have to take with me, particularly on uni days.

One thing that I make sure that I have is money on me, like actually physical money, I know that nearly everything now you can pay on card but what happens when your card doesn't work for whatever reason?  I also like to carry change with me, which although can be annoying it comes in handy a lot of the time.

Something that I always carry with me is hand sanitizer, not because I'm a germ freak, but more to do with the fact that during the day your hands come in contact with a lot of things and you can easily pick things up. So I just like to be a little extra clean with my hands, mainly out of habit of what I'm taught.

Tissues are another thing I always carry, as you never know when you're going to need a tissue for whatever reason, or someone else might need one.

I'm pretty sure if you look in every woman's bag you will find the next thing that I like to carry with me, which is painkillers, because you never know when you are going to need them.

Sticking with the medical theme I also like to carry plasters with me for various reasons, like if you get a blister or a cut or something.

A notebook and a bunch of pens which are always swimming around somewhere in my bag, because there's nothing more annoying when you need to write something down or sign something and you don't have a pen. Also when I'm on my travels I tend to come up with a lot of ideas for things like blog posts, or remember things that I have to do which if I don't write down I'll forget again.

I also carry hair thing, like my tangle teezer to try and keep my hair somewhat tamed, as well as spare hair bobbles and grips just in case I need them.

Perfume is something that is always an essential that I carry with me, not because it's lifesaving or anything, just because as the day goes on the smells of places you've been tend to stick to your clothing and a quick spritz of perfume sorter freshens them up. Also because smelling bad is kind of gross haha.

Anyone who has an iPhone will probably agree with me on this, that the battery life of an iPhone is in reality kind of crap. So I always carry a charger pack and well a plug for the actually charger, just so I can keep roping my phone up and making sure it's charged.

A drink is also something that I always try to take with me, just because it's important and I feel that if I carry water and things with me then I am more likely to actually drink them, so I do actually drink enough water for the day.

Chewing gum/ mints are sown thing that I like to carry with me because I'm not a fan of when your mouth dry'

s out and it leaves the disgusting taste in your mouth, also I like having fresh breathe all day haha.

So yeah those are the essential things that I typically carry, as well as any other bits and bobs that I may need for whatever I'm going to do. Basically I carry a load of rubbish in my bag just in case I need it. I'm thinking of doing a "what's in my bag" in one of my next couple of posts just to show you guys how bad it actually is. So until then, what are some of the essential items you like to carry?

To Help You Sleep At Night...

Not sleeping is a big issue that a lot of people have, me included, this can be for a number of different reasons lately I've found that I just can't sleep at all so have been pretty much running on caffeine.

I spent some time googling what can help you have a good night sleep and a lot of different things came, so I tested some of them out and here's some that I've found to actually help...

1. Have the right temperature- if it's too hot in a room I cannot sleep at all because you just get sweaty and is gross, I prefer to sleep in a room which is more of the cold side because it helps your body to switch off and cool down.

2. Don't eat too late- Eating right before you go to sleep or late at night can make it more difficult to fall asleep.

3. Relax your mind- The day can be stressful and busy, sometimes things can happen that just lay on your mind and at night this is when this can be worst. I find that by doing some like reading (or writing) helps to relax my mind a lot more ready for bed.

4. Cut down caffeine- This is one that I struggle with because I need a lot of caffeine to get through the day. The effects of most caffeine hangs can last 12 hours so try avoid caffeine after noon.

5. Turn off the technology- This may be difficult but avoid using things like phones and laptops right before bed as the blue lighting of the screens actually trick your internal body clock into thinking it's actually day time.

6. Avoid exercising late- Exercise is important but try not to do a big power work out late at night because the rush of endorphins won't help you sleep. If you have to exercise late try some light yoga.

7. Try a hot drink- A hot drink doesn't have to be tea, although chamomile or lavender tea are said to help relax your body, you can always try warm milk just soothe and relax you.

8. Clock out- In this world it's rather hard to as times gone on getting in contact with people has become so easy which makes clocking out so much harder. When you're going to bed silence the phones turn off the lights and the computers and just go to sleep.

Those are a couple of the tricks I've found that have somewhat helped to improve my sleep, and help me fall asleep faster. What are some of your night time routines that help you get to sleep? Share all your tips and tricks and help the 3am club sleep haha.

Little Box Of Adventure

This little box has been sat on my desk for a while, I got it at Christmas (I didn't get the box for Christmas it was just what was holding the gift) So this box has just been sitting there and I had no idea what to do with it, every time I went to my desk it was just there. I thought about using it to send someone else a gift, but I couldn't find anything to fit in it.

So I finally came up with another use for the box, and that is my bucket list... you know the list of things people want to do before they can't any longer.

So I grabbed my notebook and my different coloured and started writing down all the things that I want to do, things like: go skydiving, go zip lining, go bungee jumping, and various other things.

I then ripped them out and put them into the box, pick one out and do it. I know a lot of people have bucket lists and the sad thing is most people don't achieve them. So I created this sure in way to make sure that I do actually tick things off my list. I add in whatever I want to do, pick one out and work towards achieving it.

So now the adventure awaits, what are some of the things on your bucket list? What have you already crossed off?

We're not all lost....

Most of my friends have all these plans as to what it is they want to do with their lives, me on the other hand I'm not completely sure. Which in reality isn't all that bad, I mean I have plenty of time to decide what it is I want to do.

I have plans of things that I want to do, but I don't know at the same time. How am I supposed to plan my life when it's only just really began?

There are so many different things that I want to try and do it's hard to plan just one thing that I want to do for the rest of my life. I get that some people strive for the big careers, the big pay check and eventually the big house; and if that's what they want then it's good for them.

Me on the other hand I want something more, I want to live a life that makes me feel alive. I'm not saying that having a career and wanting the big house isn't a good plan for life I just want more.

I get told a lot that I'm a wander because I bounce around from idea to plan, and don't like being in one place for too long, but that's ok with me; being a wander doesn't mean I'm lost I'm just simply searching for adventure.

Spring Has Sprung

Finally we are in spring, which means that baby animals are all out, the flowers are growing which is just so pretty...

and it is finally starting to get warm at least some what.... Just look how blue the Sky is...
I mean until the typical British weather had taken over again and we ended up with rain again, which makes a pretty picture
But it could be worse, and the rain isn't so bad.

This past couple of weeks has had some up and some major downs in it, but that's all part of life. On a sad note this past week has seen the loss of my Dog (Best friend) to most he is just a dog to me he is my best friend, and was as much part of our family as anyone else ever was, in fact as far as I'm concerned more then some.

On a slightly more upbeat note Easter has just passed, which means there's been a lot of chocolate around, including this Easter Egg that was in fact bigger than my sisters head.

Eating chocolate actually got kind of boring with how much she actually got, so we gathered all the broken little pieces up melted the down and made some chocolate milk, which was actually delicious (in fact it was so delicious that I forgot to take a picture of it)

I also have some awesome thing planned for my blog, and may or may not be looking at expanding to Youtube... do you think I should start a YouTube, also what things would you like to see (either blog or YouTube) let me know what you think in the comments section below.

My Everyday Makeup Bag

By everyday makeup collection I don't mean the things that I wear every day, because my look is dependent on what I'm doing that day.

First things first, the bag that I use to hold my "everyday" things is this Zoella beauty bag, a friend bought me it for my birthday. It's a very cute and simple design, with it being a light pink with gold poka-dots on it with the simple phrase ' Just say yes' on the front. For some reason I just love this bag.

First thing in the bag is my basic primer, which is the Rimmel London Lasting Finish Primer, which overall I do really like as a primer in terms of the fact that is gives my makeup good staying power.

Next I currently have 2 foundations which I am carrying with me. The first one is the Max Factor Skin Illumiser which I do really like, I bought this a couple of months ago in a mini boots haul that I did, I shall leave the link to here just in case you're interested. The second foundation I have is the Revlon 24 hours Colourstay, as a brand I really like Revlon, although I haven't tested the foundation for 24 hours I does give a good all day stay (longest I've really worn it in one go is about 6-8 hours, I like to take my makeup off as soon as possible).

Concealer wise I currently have 4 different concealers in my bag. One of them is the Rimmel London Wake Me up, that I tend to use under my eyes, along with the Maybelline The Eye Eraser. The other concealers that I have are the Collections Cover Stick and the Max Factor Mastertouch that I mainly use to cover any other blemishes.

The powder that I always carry is the collection pressed powder, this is one of my favourite powders. It's a lightweight powder that I use mainly just to set my concealer and foundation, I love this powder it's just so lightweight and doesn't really do anything to discolour my foundation when I use it.

The natural collection blush is something I've recently just added to my everyday collection. I picked it up from Boots and I'm am liking it, because it's just so small and compact that it doesn't take up that much room and the product itself is really good. It's made with no harsh chemicals, and the colour of it is just amazing it's a simple natural blush to your cheeks.

Mascara wise I have Max Factor Falselash Effect which I like give a little added length to them. Or the Rimmel Wake Me Up mascara which in my option makes them look thicker and gives a more natural appearance to them.

I also have an insane amount of lip product, because I love lipsticks and so instead of boring with all of them in detail, and I shall leave a link to the blogs that I have mentioned them in previously, most of them are part of my top 5 lip products post, I did an in detail review of the Revlon lip balms you can find here...

So that is a very quick insight into my everyday makeup selections, this is what I usually have with me if I'm staying away overnight, or I'm doing something which means I'll have to reapply my makeup, like if I'm going out after work etc. What are some of the things in your everyday collection?

March Favourites

Pinch, Punch it's the first of the month, also April fool's day....  So what better way to start this month then to talk about my favourite things of last month, this month's favourites are a mixture of different buts and bobs and doesn't really focus on beauty, but here we go...

Easter- This by far has to been one of the best things about March, the amount of chocolate that comes along with Easter is just amazing, you could probably get away with eating chocolate all the time during March and no one would say anything because it's Easter.

Mini Eggs- Sticking with the theme of the first one, Mini-Eggs have got to be one of my ultimate favourites this month as they are only really around Easter and I just love them. They're just amazing.

Notebook- One of the things I've been loving this month is my little notebook. I carry this everywhere with me and use to note down any ideas that I have, and to keep track of anything that's happened that day in case I want to blog about it later.

Impluses- These are a body spray and they come in so many different scents, these are things that I've been using for years and just love them. One in particular that I've been using this month is the fragrance Temptation, which is a vanilla and peach kind of scent.

Easy On The Eye- This is an eye shadow palette by Seventeen. This particular palate is the birthday suite one, which I talked more about over on one of my blog posts which I shall the link to here... I also did a little tutorial with it overt there that you should check out.
Natural Collections Blushed Cheek- This is an absolute little gem that I picked up from Boots. I was on the lookout for a natural blush shade, as I have really pale skin it's rather difficult to find one that gives a natural look, but this works wonders. I have it in the shade Rosey Glow which adds a faint natural blush to your cheeks, it's also really cheap to buy which I know can sometimes be a put off because it's really cheap price which most times means poor quality, but this one is a good product.

Pore mask- The particular one that I've been using I got from Avon a while ago and just haven't used, I decided to give it a go these last few weeks and I do like the way it works. I only really use it once a week just to open up my pores a little more.

Birthday cake- so if you follow me on any of my social media (which I shall leave the links to just incase you want to check them out Instgram, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest) you will know that my little sisters birthday was in March, so one of my favourite moments of March has to be celebrating that and eating cake really... It was good cake.

So this month I've been kind of rubbish and not actually got around to trying a lot of different things but those are some of favourites from March. Stay tuned I swear I shall try more things, if you have any recommendations on things I should try this month let me know in the comment section below.
